Cosmetic Ingredients

Hi all!

It’s that time of year where we really need those products for our lips and skin. I thought I’d take a few moments to talk about the ingredients I use.

My lip balm has pure beeswax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, sunflower oil, vitamin E, and some have essential oil (usually from Do Terra.)

I’m not a medical expert at all so I wouldn’t dare give medical advice. I will tell you from my experience my opinions.

Beeswax is nice for the lip balm because it keeps the balm solid, even on 100 degree days. I’ll say hot summer days in the car for several days it will get soft but I was able to still use it. In the winter it feels nice on my lips.

The Cocoa butter melts in my hand just trying to make my products so that helps to keep the lip balm soft and smooth. If I don’t use an essential oil the cocoa butter makes the lip balm smell like chocolate. I love it. It smells and feels so good.

Even if I didn’t make the lip balm I would still buy it. I love it so much!

Lotion bars are made with Cocoa butter (a LOT of cocoa butter!), Beeswax, Coconut oil, Vitamin E, and some have essential oil.

Again with that cocoa butter it smells SO good. When I’m grating the cocoa butter it melts so fast so that’s what helps the lotion bar melt in your hands when you use it in the winter. In the Summer it has a harder time. That 100 degree day it had it’s shape but my finger went right through it as I went to use it so it’s best stored, well, not in a car in the summer. It’s fine when it’s colder out. I’ve put it in a cooler and that helped for the summer.

Also, that vitamin E and coconut oil I’m told is very good for your skin. Again, I’m no medical expert so I couldn’t tell you exactly why but I like it.

Body butter!!! Now that is my VERY favorite product ALL. YEAR. LONG.!!!!

It’s made with beeswax, shae butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, honey, and essential oil.

Shae butter does not smell good in my opinion so I always add essential oils to this product. The honey isn’t a strong enough scent to cover the shae. Apparently, shae butter is very good for you. No idea why, ask a professional.

My vanilla for some reason always comes out more whipped and smooth. It’s my very favorite but if I don’t get enough drops in I still smell the shae. I’m still working on what the correct ratio is.

I personally like to use it after my showers, especially after I shave. I also use it on burns (I’m mega clumsy), cuts, and scrapes. I use it on my daughter’s eczema but I can’t legally tell you how I feel about that just know that she loves it too. It is not medical but ask your medical provider about the ingredients.

A little goes a long way. It’s great to put on your feet under socks. If you put it on your feet in the tub/shower it will make the floor SUPER slippery. Please be careful. I also use it to remove stuck jewelry off of fingers.

I’m telling you this stuff is the bees knees. I love it so much! I’ve lower my prices so it’s more available because I want everyone to be able to enjoy my products.

Lip balms are just $2 as are the lotion bars.
Body butter is $3 for 2oz
$6 for 4oz
$10 for 8oz
